The second part of this is we are calling Customized Self Employment because its focus is building on the information gathered in Discovery to bring an individual to the point of launching their business, complete with a Business Plan.
If you arrive at the Customized Employment course and did not yet complete the Discovery course, you need to go back and do that first. It is a requirement.
Upon completion of the NCES classes and homework, participants will be awarded a National Certificate of Achievement in Employment Specialist from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE). The Certificate documents satisfactory completion of at least 40 hours of training and professional development provided by an ACRE-approved training resource and is appropriate to use as part of a professional portfolio.
Participants must participate in and complete all training activities (including homework assignments) in order to receive the National Certificate in Employment Specialist from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators.
